My twin 2 1/2 year old boys love this. However, I can see the issues others were having; the arm is flimsy, and does come flying off occasionally (I may have my husband do what another reviewer did - drill a hole and put a zip string through it). The velcro is a bit too strong, but I noticed someone wrote an update a year after he had the toy, and mentioned that the velcro relaxes over time.
While putting it together, I did something by accident (I’m blonde, so give me a break), that actually worked out to my benefit. I put the base in backwards. So the “plate” is on the opposite side of the ball arm and tether. Instead of turning it around (i.e. taking it all apart), I have one of the twins step on the ball release button, and the other holds the bat and swings at the ball, without hitting his brother in mid-swing. The good thing about the velcro being super sticky, is that it forces my boys to swing again, and again….making their aim better and better each time. Now I look out the kitchen window and see my boys taking turns and not beating each other over the head with the bat and T stand like they did with the Little Tikes T-ball set.
Take the bad with the good; it’s a good deal for a product that keeps the kids entertained. P.S. FP really needs to sell extra balls right along side the BB Batter product. 3 balls are not enough.

I purchased this for my 3 year old because it doesn’t play music or light up. It’s a very simple toy that makes a chiming noise when my baby kicks it with his feet–definitely encourages his kicking. Sometimes the simplest toys with very simple cause and effect are the best. This one is great.

Very cute and colorful toy but very boring. My baby was never interested in playing with this toy. I wish I got her something else.

We bought this on sale and I am so glad we did. Honestly, there’s not too much to it, but my 5mo loves it! Between the colored leaves, tags at the top and chimes, he keeps batting it around. Great buy for the price.

Keeps him interested for a little bit because of the animals and the noise it makes but I might go for something with more action.

i bought this for my 6 month old and he was more interested in the box then the toy. i thought maybe if i put it in front of him more he would take to it better but that wasn’t the case. he is 9 months old now and doesn’t play with it at all. a complete waste of money for me!!!

For the price there’s better toys out there that will keep your baby’s attention for longer. It makes two annoying laughing noises/songs, and after a couple whacks my baby ignores it. Also I have carpet and it doesn’t really roll at all so maybe if I had hard floors the baby would be entertained by it better.

My 6 month old son got this for Christmas, and so far it’s his favorite toy! It is encouraging him to sit up (something he hasn’t quite mastered yet) and he loves to move the monkey from side to side to make the sounds and music. For now we’re just sitting it between his legs to encourage sitting and hand-eye coordination, but I can already picture him pushing it around the living room!
