I bought this for my 1 year old grandson as his mum speaks spanish and wants to teach my grandson the language so when I saw this at a good price I ordered it. I was on holiday at his home when it was delivered so I was the one who unpackaged it. I pressed the buttons before doing so and was quite pleased with the toy. However when I pressed the buttons after removing the packaging I could barely hear it. Apparently at the back of the phone is a piece of cardboard which if you remove reduces the sound and you cannot adjust it, which renders it barely audible. It seems unbelievable that a reputable company like fisher price manufacture a toy that you cannot adjust the volume so you are left with a phone that is so low you can hardly hear and therefore not much fun. So beware when unpackaging. Surely it would make more sense to have a switch to adjust the volume.

I bought this for Christmas for my 7 year old nephew and he loves it. The movement and sounds are great, the colours vivid. This is a great purchase for the dinosaur lover in your house. Imaginext toys are always a huge hit.

My three year old son loves this dinosaur! We’re collecting the imaginext dinosaurs and this is by far his favorite.
We gave it to him on the morning of his birthday. It made great sounds, moves and he loved it. It was broken by noon. His head stopped moving around in circles and it kept “clicking” like it was stuck in that position. I tried changing batteries but it didn’t help. I went to local retailers to see if I could replace it but 4 out of 10 on the shelf had that same problem. He still loves the dinosaur and plays with it often- just without the awesome moves and sounds.

Gift from relative for our 3 year old, who is a major dinosaur fan.
Toy is ridiculous - you press a button and it jerks its neck around and roars. While this may sound entertaining, it loses its glory after a few turns and now sits, unused and mostly broken (neck gets stuck,) on a shelf.
Our 3 year would Much prefer to play with the $1 target plastic dinosaurs than this.
Seems like a novelty, and may be attractive on the shelf - but totally not worth it. I’d go as far as to say it sucks, and its cumbersome.

Great product, the Fisher Price Imaginext toy line is fantastic. My 13yr old son has Austism and loves the animals and the dinosaurs! They’re just great. Quick shipping from Amazon, always a pleasure.

My 5 year-old seems to enjoy this toy. He’s beat it up pretty good and still seems to work fine.

I bought this because my mom was desperate for the classic version that I played with as a kid. This isn’t it. The toy is smaller and the handle is so stiff my 15 month old gets pissed trying to make it talk. Also, in the interest of cramming more animals in there are ’sounds’ that are non-sense like the bunny who goes ‘boing’ are you kidding me? Use your cash to buy something GOOD for the baby in your life.

My own children had this toy. I have pulled that handle many times. Now great nephews got them for Christmas. The extra page makes for more variation. This toy always got giggles at my house.

sounds and actions are very intriquing and it is a great learning tool

My daughter got this item for Christmas this year. She loves to pull the handle and hear the sounds the animals make. She also loves to hear the two songs that play, “Old McDonald” and “The Farmer in the Dell”.
She likes to flip the tab and she has done a good job of trying to pull off the arrow and throwing it on various surfaces. The toy has come out completely unscathed.
We are all looking forward to playing with this toy in the coming weeks and months.
The ONLY down side of the toy is the animal sounds for some of the animals leave a little to be desired. But for all the animals, they are at least acceptable. This is why I gave it four stars instead of five.

This is a nice toy, and I like the fact that the animal sounds are all realistic. The couple of drawbacks there are include 1) when the lever is pulled down, the sound of it and the arrow turning are a bit loud and you almost can’t hear anything until the animal sound and 2) the lever is a bit difficult for my son to figure out (he’s used to pressing buttons on most of his other toys) and he’s a pretty bright 18 month-old. Hopefully he’ll figure it out soon. Seems sturdy and definitely worth the cost.

its ok for the price but what good is it? if you can’t hear it!!
the volume really sucks!!!!

The telephone is cute and has several options and colorful buttons, but it speaks very faintly and is basically inaudible. It can barely be heard if you hold it up to your ear.
It is a little too large for tiny hands to hold and manipulate. Babies, much less toddlers, can recognize that it is not “the real McCoy”, and therefore not very interesting.

El telefono, luce muy bien, pero el sonido es casi inexistente, yo lo compre para mi niña de 11 meses, y la verdad a ella no le llama la atención en absoluto, se ha caido unas cuantas veces, y no se ha roto.
