  We purchased this for our 2 year old for christmas. She loves it and makes the sound of the animal when it pops up on the wall. I would recommend this for any little one.

  My three year old son got this for Christmas. While it is very nice to be able to project the reels onto the wall or wherever is convenient, the sound part leaves a lot to be desired.

  Pros:

  Nice to be able to see reels better, where you choose.
  Sound adds another dimension.
  Remote works well and comes with the (button) batteries.
  Easy to use.

  Cons:

  Sound is only a word or two or a short sound. Nothing else.
  Some of the pictures occasionally have the same sound.
  Some sound reels have to be pushed in very hard to work.
  -(At least on ours they do.)
  One of our sound reels doesn’t work at all.
  -(May be just ours, but seems like it might be tempermental.)
  Reels with no sound do make sound when they advance.
  -(It didn’t really bug me too much but my older kids hate it.)

  If you want this as a projector with remote and maybe the occasional sound set, this would be nice. Just don’t expect too much from the sound feature!

  Note: We first got one without the remote, and it was defective. As it was a gift and I didn’t have the receipt, I called the phone number on the box. The woman at Fisher-Price that I talked to was pleasant and polite. She assessed my issue easily, and when she established that it was defective, she took my information and told me she would send a new one, free of charge. Not only did we get it in a timely manner, but it was the model with the remote, which she knew was not the model we started with. I can’t say enough about Fisher-Price’s customer service. This is the second time I have contacted them (different issues) and was very pleased both times.

  This product is nice because it helps relax my toddler when he’s getting ready to go to bed and the remote is very handy. But when I bought another reel with sounds I could not hear the audio for it. All I could hear was the audio that came with the Projector. It was really strange. I tried changing it out a few times but kept getting the same results.

  my son is a night owl and when it comes to getting him to bed, its a nightmare! but since we got this, he now stays in bed because he knows we’re gonna watch his reels which we projects on the ceiling. it’s a good toy, durable and very easy to operate and i love that you can set it to auto, that way you don’t have to press the next button all the time. its also good that it gives you option with regards to volume, there’s mute, not so loud and loud. this projector is also compatible with the discovery sound reels.
  i just love this toy!

  This is a fun toy, and my children (4 and 2) enjoy the “movies” on the wall. My 4 year old can control it pretty much on her own. We don’t even turn on the sound because it just says random things like “monarch butterfly” at random times. So, fun item, but the sounds are a disappointment.

  The track is a bear to put together and comes apart easily, which means you’ll have a hard time reassembling every time your kids pull the track apart. Playing with it is pretty cool, for a while–there’s only so long you can watch cars go around and around before you get bored. Then again, if you’re a NASCAR fan or have recently had a lobotomy, that won’t bore you or your kids, so enjoy!

  We love the race set. It is much bigger than expected. The whole family can enjoy this. My son, daughter, my husband and me.

  This product is not made well and it keeps coming apart. We cant use the ramps at all because the some of the peices are wrong size and the ramps wont stay up. The cars are fun all by themselves.. no ramp needed!

  I wish this toy would stay together, but alas it does not. My boys love playing with it when it is together but the tabs are too short to stay linked. I get VERY frustrated putting it together over and over again that eventually, I just pack it up and put it away.

  I bought this track for my son (4 at the time) last year. The tracks did not fit together seemlessly out of the box. That should have been the telltale sign #1. Upon getting it all put together the tracks NEVER stayed together irregardless of whether I put them down on level wood flooring or level carpeting. I got so frustrated I eventually Krazy glued the tracks together which worked for a little while, but eventually the wear and tear got to the tracks again. Parents, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this disgrace of a product!!!

  I bought this for my 4 year old son as his “Big Toy” for Christmas. He was ecstatic when he opened it. All he did after that was play with it and ignored the rest of his presents. The reason that I bought this was the way that the structure and the characters were made. It reminded me of the toys that I played with when I was little and still have around. They are very well made. Strong and seem like they will last just as long as the toys I enjoyed playing with.
  I highly recommend this for anyone thinking about buying a toy that is built with quality in mind.

  I got this for my 3 year old son for Christmas last year. He loves it! He enjoys making the gorilla open it’s mouth and shoot “bats”. To date he has an Imaginext Castle, Bat Cave and Jungle which he puts in a big circle to play with. He is getting the Dragon fortress nad Pirate Ship for his birthday in 2 weeks. Imaginext toys are extremely durable and always a favorite with my son. On a side note, you may want to hide the Bat coins if you have small children. I’ve found them in my 2 year olds mouth before and have had to shelf them when she is around. Could be quite a choking hazard (which is marked on the box).

  My son got this as a gift for his 2nd birthday and to be honest, I thought he would be too young for it, but it’s turned out to be the his favorite thing ever. He can play for really long periods of time AND his 4 and 6 year old cousins no longer think all of his toys are too baby-ish! They love playing with it too. I want to get more of the animals!

  This toy was purchased as a Christmas gift for my jungle animal loving 4 year old son (who saw it in the store & immediately loved it). His 5 1/2 year old sister (who also happens to love jungle animals) & he play with it together for hours every day. I read online reviews (both here & on another site) & only purchased it because other parents said it was fun, durable & allows children to use their imagination. It’s all it was recommended to be & more. It has survived playdates & also entertained other children for hours. I highly recommend it to everyone.

  My 5 year old son has the entire jungle village of Imaginext toys. These toys are so durable, easy to clean and offer so many different functions. There are waterfall sounds, lights and movement. The accompanying animals and people are so heavy and sturdy. It’s certainly not cheap plastic. I would recommend this toy for any boy…or girl.
