This camera is very durable and seems to be easy to use for a 3 year old. My daughter has fun taking photos with it. However, do not plan on using this camera to print pictures. The image quality is absolutely terrible. The display on the camera is even worse. I was hoping to have my daughter take pictures with it and maybe get one or two pictures that we could print and show as her first attempts. However, we have made this just a simple toy instead of a usable camera for pictures. Expensive toy camera. I would have paid a little more for one that had any quality of picture that matches the technological age 
Bottom line - if you want a toy that acts like a camera and that is durable, then this should suit your needs, if you want a camera you can use to print photos, by a new state of the art camera for your family and give your older one to your 3 year old.

I purchased this for around $60. We have had this camera now for about 1yr. In the years time, my son has only played with it for 5 mins total. The camera literally sucks down batteries! You may be able to get maybe 5 pic from brand new duracell or energizer batteries. Better off buying a real digital camera and just replacing that when it breaks. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! This camera overall is a POS. Would have given a zero if I could.

While visiting my grandson I let him use my camera to take “hundreds” of pictures. After I returned home I sent him this Fisher-Price camera and it has been a huge hit. He uses it frequently. Weeks later he is now visiting at our house and he is still playing with it.

Unless you’re buying for a two, three, okay maybe a four-year old, steer clear. While this camera is “functional”, it’s really not usable to take pictures, even for a child. The LCD is useless (grainy, very dark) and the resolution of the photos is not suitable for printing (unless you’re creating stamps). This is really an ‘interactive toy’ for the tiniest of tots, not a camera. Kids are fairly astute nowadays — my 6 year old daughter, having used her Mom’s little Casio point-and-shoot only a few times before, didn’t ‘buy’ into this camera at all (no, she’s not a spoiled brat
Rather than wasting [...] on this product, if your child is just a little older, you may consider buying one of the inexpensive point-and-click cameras, along with a [...]Snug-It silicone case (sold here on Amazon).

I was hoping this would be a good purchase for my 26 month old but unfortunately the most prominent button (and his favorite to press) is a very big delete button! The button to take photos is very small and is on the far side of camera from where they are holding it. If their hand is small, it is too far a reach for little ones and they cant see it, they have to feel it and then press.
Would be great with less prominent delete button and more prominent photo button, otherwise, 2 stars from me.

This product was meant as a Christmas present, thats exactly how long it lasted, Christmas day. Product constantly would shut off and made it frustrating to use. Eventually was trashed, poor quality, not easy to use.
