For those of you wistfully longing for the Little People Barn of your youth, complete with loft, silo, and funny moo sounds, it’s here:
[...]

Seriously, did you think you were gonna get the big barn for under $20? The AIRPLANE costs more than that, for Pete’s sake!

Now that we’ve gotten THAT out of the way, THIS product is the Little People Play ‘N’ Go Farm - part of Fisher Price’s series of Little People travel sets that come with their own carrying cases that match the toy’s theme - barn, school, house, etc.

There aren’t a lot of frills with this product; a farmer, a couple of animals, a few accessories, and the lunch-box style case. But it’s about what I’d expect for the price, and it’s great for taking along on vacations and trips to the grandparents’ houses.

My two year old prefers this over his LeapFrog Learning Friends Phonics Bus. But this toy either has lousy quality control or is just made with very cheap parts. It broke in less than two months. After a month of play, it sounded like there’s a tear on the speaker. Then a week later, sound became intermittent or none at all. In comparison, the Phonics Bus is over two years old, and it still sounds great, but he doesn’t play with it as much as this toy.

My two and a half year old son absolutely loves this toy! As a typical boy, he is always on the go, but this is one of the few toys which he will actually sit down and play with for an extended period of time. He loves to repeat the letters and words as he places each tile in the truck, then sings the alphabet song along with it. As a parent, I appreciate the fact that the toy is sturdy, has an appropriate volume level, has pleasant sounding music/songs, and overall is just a simple, straightforward educational toy. Too many toys these days seem to overstimulate children with flashing lights, etc. when it really isn’t necessary–I am glad Fisher-Price knew when to stop when designing this one. I highly recommend the ABC Delivery Truck!!

My kids received this from the easter bunny and so far they both love it. I wish there was 26 individual letter tiles but I can see why they only did 13

Fisher Price toys have been our choice for 40 years! Our four children and 12 grandchildren enjoy them very much! This toy is such a happy memory of the history of Fisher Price! Our two year old granddaughter knew just what to do with every piece. I highly recommend this product for durability, appeal, and craftmanship! Fisher Price is the first place I look to buy my toys!

My daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday and within one day of playing with it, she had chewed on the little boy figure and his hair flaked off. Its the only character that has painted hair. Need to contact FP to see if the paint is dangerous… Not recommended and disappointed in FP for putting out such a shoddy product!

Take along toy and it is made well. Bought it for my 2 1/2 year old grandson and he likes it very much. The figures are durable and it is fun to play with and take along. Well worth the money.

I recall having a Fisher Price school house. And, it was sooo much nicer than this one. This is like one of those older tin lunch boxes we used in the 70’s. I wish the quality of product was there, but sad to say it’s not. I’d love to be able to buy a 70’s version of the school house, or all the little people for that matter.
Shop at garage sales instead to find the classic version instead.

The one year old loves to carry it around and take the figures in and out when the four year old will let her have it. The four year old lines up the teacher and “pupils” and says they are playing school. The pieces are large and harder to lose than some toys.

This airplane was given to my daughter for her first birthday, and for a very long time she did not show much interest in it. She was almost 3 by the time she really started playing with it, and now that she is 4 she plays with it daily. She loves loading up the plane with her Little People and flying them around the house. She has engaged in many hours of imaginative play using this airplane, and it has held up very well. The toy does make a few airplane sounds and sings a little song, but it is just the right volume to make it not terribly annoying.
Since my son became mobile and started taking an interest in all things that go, this has become a favorite toy of his, as well. Often my two kids fight over it. My son spends more time pushing it around on the floor (so great that it has sturdy wheels for this purpose), but he occasionally puts the people inside too.
My only minor complaint has to do with the recommended age for this toy, as 12 months seems a bit young to get much out of it, unless your baby is somewhat mobile and interested in pushing it around. Eighteen months and up seems more appropriate.

    1. This plane is too bulky for any kind of pretend play involving flying - so kind of beats the whole idea of buying a toy airplane!

    2. The four or five pre-recorded sounds get stale in like 4 minutes.

    3. There is very limited motion/activity in the toy itself.

My son has taken to using it as a storage box for his Lego mega blocks and the only thing he finds interesting in it is the people, which he has taken out and plays with separately. He also refuses to call the toy an airplane and instead calls it “car” and “truck” interchangeably.

Not worth $35. Maybe if the price were more like $10-15, it would be a nice colorful piece of plastic on wheels to add to the clutter, but definitely not worth the high price tag!!!

My 2 year old also comes back to this toy A LOT!!
This was a $15-20 purchase for me and well worth that money.
My son has shown great imagination playing with it.
It is INCREDIBLY sturdy to take him pushing it around on the ground and even trying to sit on it from time to time.
He has no problems getting his people in and out when he wants to and he is satisfied wtih the sound effect supplied, although this is the kind of toy that could easily do without any sound effects to encourage kids to make up thier own.

After I ordered this Lil’ Mover’s Airplane, unfortunately, I realized that I could order it much cheeper through Fisher Price and recieve it within a reasonable time. Amazon offered Free Shipping, that made this toy wait to be shipped for almost 20 days. Beware of the free Shipping! it cost you more in the long run.
I went ahead and ordered directly through Fisher Price and saved 11.00. I thought Amazon was supposed to give you the best deals, evidentially not. You are taking advantage of your customers.
Since I am now aware of this happening I will be more careful, if I order through Amazon again and I will inform others to be more careful as well.

Please beware of what the prices are, who wants to spend more, 11.00 more!

    Diane
